General San Martin Park
It constitutes a true green lung of the city that is located in the western zone from Bolougne Sur Mer ave. and includes the famous Cerro de la Gloria (historical hill). It covers 310 hectares with hundreds species, 300 native from the region among them. Completely designed by the famous French architect Carlos Thays, it represents a really must-see stroll with its classic sculptures, sources and beautiful gardens. Its internal avenues, all asphalted, evoke with their names the botanical species that surround them (eg. tipas avenue, palms avenue, etc). Numerous sport organizations are set inside the park, and the famous Provincial Malvinas Argentinas Stadium, constructed in purpose of the celebration of the World Cup of Soccer Argentina 1978.

Cerro de la Gloria (historical hill)
It is a beautiful hill totally converted to forest. The Monument to the Andes Army (San Martin) is elevated in its summit. From its basement it is possible to observ all the park and the city of Mendoza. In the hill slopes is seat the Zoological Garden that counts with 7 km on streets where different exotic and native species can be observed. Mendoza city central park
it is the most recent attraction of Mendoza city, and the axis of the city-planning renovation. The complex is not finished yet in its total extention, but it will be hosting the new Mendoza´s Cathedral.

O´Higgins park
with great amount and variety of trees and recreational places, is located in the flank east of the city, having as border the great zanjón Cacique Guaymallén channel. You can find the municipal amphitheatre Gabriela Mistral, and the attractive Municipal Aquarium. Nearby, in front of Sarmiento square is located the cathedral of Mendoza´s arquidiócesis.
Universitary City
It is based in an annexed complex to the park with 76ha.It hosts the Rectorado bureau and most of the academic units of the Cuyo National University, maximum educative institution of Mendoza and one of the most important in Argentina.
Papagallos circuit
It represents a formidable tourist circuit with asphalted routes for those who wish to get inside into the first mountain range of the Andes, natural frame of Mendoza city, and it counts with attractions such as the Provincial Divisadero Largo Reserve, with great scientific value; the Sanctuary of the Lourdes Virgin in the Challao district; a panoramic viewpoint of the city and the metropolitan area; and numerous recreation zones.
