Maipú’s Countryside

In the surroundings of Maipú city you can find recognized warehouses that are included in one of the wine routes circuits; also it is worth to mention the establishments that produce olive oil of the highest quality, the small farms which attract more visitors every year because of its excellent services, and the country residences that are added to the increasing countryside tourism.

Carrizal Dam

The Carrizal dock is one of the many projects conducted on the Tunuyán river to take totally advantage of its cristal waters. This great water mirror, shared by the departments of Luján de Cuyo and Rivadavia, is scene of several sports and aquatic activities. It counts on its coasts with plenty places to go camping and exclusive clubs.

Rivadavia City

The city offers to the visitor a very complete range of services. It counts also in its environs with a recreacional tourist complex, in an estate of 70 hectares of forest, where every year important events are carried out in its amphitheatre: the departmental celebration of Vendimia and the “Rivadavia le canta (y baila) al país” national Festival.

Junín City

Is located 50 km from Mendoza and counts on its surroundings with great vineyards and warehouses, and leafy woods that border its roads. Because its full extention on the irrigatred oasis zone, it is known as the Mendoza’s garden. It is the seat of several sanmartinian landmarks: the historical Orfila establisment and the Gral. San Martin mill, among the San Martin legacy.

San Martín City

It is the main city of the eastern oasis, and is 43km from the city of Mendoza. The department is completely dedicated to the wine industry and the fruit-growing. The municipal Historical Museum of Las Bóvedas, which belonged to Gral. San Martin is located in the city’s downtown.
